Beth McCann is a Duffy tribute act that simply goes by the stage name Beth McCann – Rockferry Duffy Tribute. Based in the heart of Wales she has been performing as Duffy for nearly a year. She began singing at the age of 11 but didn’t turn professional until aged 26. As a girl she was inspired by Disney films and also had a soft spot for Kylie and Jason. Nowadays her biggest influence is Sarah McLachlan with her album ‘Possession’ being one of Beth’s favourites. Her favourite songs she sings are ‘Oh Boy’ by Duffy and ‘Angel’ by Sarah McLachlan because she claims it reduces grown men to tears. Duffy, The Script, James Morrison, David Gray, Kings of Leon and Taylor Swift are just some of her all time favourite singers/band. She has played at large venues such as the Dartford Festival and she really enjoyed the chilled, intimate atmosphere at the Concorde Club in Southampton. Apart from her stage career she also works part time for a charity called Continyou and has been working on a project which will allow more children in Wales to get into music and singing. She is aiming to do a lot more gigs in the future so look out for Beth McCann - Rockferry Duffy Tribute.

Likuid Blu is a 5 manned band based in Leicestershire. We ask lead singer Brendan about who has influenced him and what the band get up to. Likuid Blu have been paying together for 7 years and The Jam House in Birmingham is one the band’s favourite venues to play at. They love performing ‘Mr. Brightside’ by the Killers because the song is so passionate. The band that has influenced Brendan the most is The Beatles and he says that they still do. The Beatles are his all time favourite band and he claims Kings of Leon are amazing to see perform live.

Joseph King is an Elvis tribute act that goes by his real name on stage. He has been performing for over 20 years but has only spent the last 6 years doing his Elvis tribute act in which he also plays the guitar. He first began singing at the age of 5 and had his first audience performance at 16. His biggest influences have been Elvis, Tom Jones, Tony Christie, Joe Dolan and Engelbert Humperdink. Elvis being his firm favourite singer, he is also a fan of Tom Jones’s voice. The song he loves singing the most is ‘Long Black Limousine’ by Elvis. He also likes the albums ‘New Jersey’ by Bon Jovi and ‘Bad’ by Michael Jackson as they remind him of the time he first met his wife. Apart from his stage career he teaches Tae Kwon Do in his spare time but even more thrilling is that he used to be a highly skilled Marksman! Joseph will continue to perform as Elvis across the UK and Europe and you may also see him singing as part of an acoustic duet.

Malc Evans has been a solo singer, song writer and guitarist for 8 years and in the last 7 months he has been performing as part of ‘The Malc Evans Band’. He first started playing a musical instrument at the age of 7 and he now plays guitar, bass, tuba and sings professionally. His biggest influence at school was his teacher Mr. Davis. As a band they enjoy performing ‘Perfect 10’ by The Beautiful South as it’s a great song for harmonies and the lyrics are witty. Malc’s favourite bands are Coldplay and U2 with U2’s greatest hits 1980-1990 being one of his favourite albums. Recently he has become a fan of Elbow. ‘Baby I love your way’ by Big Mountain reminds him of his wedding day and dancing with his wife aww! Malc and his band are based in Coventry but they will be gigging all across the UK in the near future.
